HENRY & STARK COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, HENRY COUNTY OEM TO HOLD “POP-UP” PFIZER COVID VACCINE CLINIC FOR AREA SCHOOL STUDENTS 5-17 YRS OF AGE.

The Henry & Stark County Health Department and Henry County Office of Emergency Management announce they are holding a special “Pop-Up” Pediatric Pfizer Covid Vaccination Clinic from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, December 29th at the Health Department’s Kewanee location at 110 N. This clinic will offer local families the opportunity to get those students who are wanting and are eligible to receive a Pfizer vaccine to get vaccinated. To reserve your participation at the December 29th Pediatric Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic simply go to our website at www.henrystarkhealth.com and click on the link and complete a simple On-Line “COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Registration Form.

Local Health, School and Emergency Management Officials remind area residents that clinical studies have shown that the Pfizer vaccination is safe and effective for individuals ages 5 years and older.  The FDA has approved the vaccination for those ages.

As a reminder, under current guidance, just as with those who have been vaccinated; students who are fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact to someone who tests positive for Covid.

As with the classroom example, athletes who are fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact to someone who tests positive for Covid.  This will help provide consistency for our teams during their competitive seasons and the school year.
